Font Of The Day #14 – 18th June 2017 – Roster

It’s the weekend, and a great opportunity for a drive in the countryside.  Get away from it all with Roster, a strong brush script family of two weights, caps and a set of ornaments. Roster is great for any kind of display use from advertising to packaging and online branding. Roster is clear and legible even in smaller sizes and works for longer texts too, but is at its best when used for shorter sentences or even just for one or two word display or logo use.

Font Of The Day #13 – 17th June 2017 – Kinescope

Today’s font is rich and velvety, and dripping on to the page.  A sexy script typeface, based on the hand-lettered titles in Fleischer Brothers’ Superman cartoon series, Kinescope has a real 1940s feel to it.  How might you use it?  A user guide is included to help you get what you need from the font, and to inspire you.  This font is sponsored, but a bargain at £22 from MyFonts.com (designer Mark Simonson).  That’s All, Folks!

Font Of The Day #12 – 16th June 2017 – Liquorstore

It’s the end of the working week, and let’s face it, we could probably do with a drink.  Today’s font has just what you need!  Liquorstore is a large and loud font in a traditional style, based on old liquor store signage and Cold War propaganda posters.  There are five variants available, or you can buy each version separately.  It was designed by Chank Diesel, and is a sponsored font from MyFonts.com.

Font Of The Day #11 – 15th June 2017 – RM Serifancy

It’s a Throwback Thursday, and it’s a Freebie Thursday!  Today’s font of the day is a WildWest / Circus themed typeface, and it’s completely free, even for commercial use!  It’s called RM Serifancy, designed by user p2pnut.  I found it at 1001fonts.com.  I love this font so much that I’m looking for an excuse to create a sign – just so that I can emblazon it across it in 12-inch-high letters!  A statement piece, if ever I saw one.

Font Of The Day #10 – 14th June 2017 – Geogrotesque

Don’t be fooled by the name – Geogrotesque is a classy and modern font.  Its smooth, clean nature makes it suitable for high-impact slogans and longform text alike.  It’s a sans-serif font available in 14 styles and 7 weights.  It was created by Emtype Foundry, and I found it at MyFonts.com.  This is a sponsored post, so if you like it you’ll need to splash the cash for expert design.  Click the image on the right to go to the download page.
